Seen a few pics in the past of them mounted on top. Didn't someone on here have a problem with their oil cooler being too efficient and the oil never actually getting up to temperature?

I'd think the heat soak would be an issue on top, make sure you use a thermostatic sandwich plate to avoid running too cold. My cooler is between the A/C condenser and the Intercooler, the inner wing is also a good option but mounting is more difficult and you don't get the benefit of the fans cooling when stationary.

Dave are you nicking all my ideas lol.

problem might be the pump having to get all that oil up there, especially when starting, but I guess with a thermo sandwich plate starting might not be a problem.

how do you prime a system like that when doing an oil change? I guess check the oil level once the thermo plate has opened?

I needed one since before the ring last year .. I've put this off too long really should have definitely fitted one before Spa..the pressure drop at heat quite frankly scared me!

Good question, with the oil filling I guess the same, from my understanding with the 16 row I have up there I will need all 5 litres out of a can instead of the regular 4.2 odd. Still not decided on where the best place is to mount it... head is starting to expand and hurt looking at pictures everywhere and reading NASOC etc.

I Like Nicks above, also like Karting Steve's.. I will probably end up putting it somewhere near the front or behind a fog etc.

but... look at some of these..

Think this was the one Greg had..

This one out of a pikes peak car..

There are lots more... look good!!! still undecided
