Default which pads to use?

Could anybody recommend a set/make of brake pads that will be good for every day use yet powerful enough on a track? i all ready have black diamond drilled and grooved discs but with original pads and i get a little fade if pushed hard.

Ferodo DS2500, again not cheap

I have never had a prblem with them when cold, which is alot more then I can say about Hawk pads that the americans rave about. They were just scary and you had to drive like an absolute looney to get them hot, these were the so called fast road pads too.....hate to think what the race ones were like.

best source for ferodo are http://www.asptrading.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh0 ... 3a444#a444

£106+VAT, but if you call them and ask to talk to Alyn you may get them a bit cheaper.

Cheers guys for the comments. i went for some ebc reds due to the fact i don't push the wagon that hard plus its used every day by the missus and the price i got them for wasn't too sad!

Do most brake pads squeal in reverse? the ones i have now do but is it cos i have drilled and grooved discs????
