If anyone else is thinking about this trip please put your name down...

If anyone is worried about any aspects of this life changing experience please contact me I will do my best to answer any questions.

This is SES's 5th trip and that speaks volumes as to how good the trip is.

The trip is a package of new experiences.

If you are worried about driving The Ring the surrounding area is also a drivers paradise.

Couldn't agree more old chap

I'd still go even if the Ring was shut all weekend. The local roads are stunning, scenery beautiful, and its a great place to unwind with top food (mmm steak) and some beers.

I'm sure there's also people willing to give the odd passenger lap if you want to know what its like before going round yourself.

Going to say no for now guys, looks like I have work until the end of June so the car is staying for now but what with my wifes 40th in May and a friends wedding in Ibiza during the summer I can't justify it this year, I'll be first on the list for next year though, brother is itching to get out there and he may have a car of his own to take by then. If anything changes I'll sort myself out with other accommodation.

Shane

Not going to make this one I'm afraid. Apart from not being able to get the time off, I have a potential whole heap of poo coming my way. I'd have no reservations about going if things were different and god only knows I wish they were. Sorry for any inconvenience

East Grinsteasd?

I thought we met at the pub just off the industrial estate in T.Wells?

I dare say something will be arranged.

I did think that we hopefully can all make it to the Leeds Castle meet the week before we go.

Thanks for words of encouragement, and certainly is a cracking weekend. But just been reminded by the missus this is the weekend we already have booked up at a Haven Holiday. I was in 2 minds anyhow, but this has killed the idea for me now.

But have a good one, and anyone that hasn't done it before. At least get one easy lap in. Don't think too much about it, just buy the ticket and do it.. If you think too long you will talk yourself out of doing a lap then kick yourself after. Its a box that every petrol head has to at least tick once in there life. Enjoy.!

i'm glad i'm going as the misses has told me the Scooby has got to go as we have too many cars, so this has given me a couple of months more of ownership, i'm hoping she will change her mind when she comes back from the Ring, but apparently i don't need 5 cars, personally i think she is being very unreasable lol. though she did say she would miss the SES meets and activities.

5 cars, what else have you got hidden away? Know about the scoob, golf & Jag.....

Be a shame to sell the scoob after spending time and money improving it though. As you say, the Ring trip might change both your minds

Lot of resurfacing work still going on over there at the moment, the snow has been bad for a while so think they're a bit behind.

This pic was taken at Metzgesfeld today:

And this was the weather only last week!

Thats only 2 minutes from my house and the amount of cars you see stopped with knackered wheels is amazing. Must cost the council a fortune. Its only a matter of time before a biker gets killed. Crazy!
