Alright fella a mate of mine fitted some in his classic and had to use an angle grinder as its metal, better off using a jig with a metal blade but for what its worth grab some good componments 6.5" i think? and run off an amp! save yourself alot of gyp and a good set wil be just as good!

Someone has managed to squeeze a nice set of circular kickers into my classic shelf without any cutting, guess they may have taken the back seat out to remove the shelf, fitted the speakers and then put the original shelf with original covers over the top of them.

Unfortunately, whatever you fit will never sound that good due to the lack of sound deadening anywhere in the car. The OEM setup in my 51 Passat blows the socks off my Kicker/Pioneer/Alpine setup in the Scoob.
