Default Dashboard clocks

The clocks in my wrx bug have pretty much had it. Everything works perfect apart from the digital bit i,e milage and temp readings. Does anyone know anywhere o get this fixed? Or some new clocks. Or whilst I'm changing it is Terence any sort of upgrade I can do (not a great fan of the green lights) would another clock from another model fit. Like and sti one? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

They go straight in, Ive put some heavily modded JDM STI ones in mine. JDM ones do require a converter though, just 4 wires.

The last pic looks a bit orange, but its bright red, crappy phone pic.

You only need the converter if your fitting JDM ones, a UK STI set of clocks will go straight in.

Changing the colour is a bit more time, and alot of patience. I should post my write up really.

Heres whats envolved.

Replace the bulbs with LEDs, i tried about 10 sets before I found some to fit right.

Then, the hard bit. Cut strips of sandpaper, feed under the faces, and rub for ever...

The below picture if from my test set, I removed the faces to cheat, but you cant take
the faces or the needles off if you want a working set!

You have to remove the black backing, and the green backing under that. This is what gives them the green look, so just changing the bulbs isnt enough.

I then used a white board marker to carefully colour the dials, as I wanted them to look red during the day too, not just at night. Again, after testing I found that the white board marker let more light through than a standard marker.
