stolen from another scooby forum:

Just come across this offer - not every Shell garage is in the promotion, but if it helps anyone - have a look and see!

https://www.bespokeoffers.co.uk/cons...t-shell--d4096

Once you get the voucher - it's only valid till 31st May, but you can print off more than one, so could be a few pennies saved...

Exhaust manifold and turbo going on today, inlet manifold tmrw. Side skirts tmrw and remap Friday. Then it's down to little bits that aren't important. Phew.

Been a manic month.

Oil
Gear Oil,
Plugs (only 5k since the last lot but thought.. while im there)
Front brakes (discs and pads)
rear pads
brake fluid
Rocker cover gasket.
Roll centre ball joints
22mm Rear ARB
ride hight adjust
Alignment
wheel arch liner drilled and tied (run out of time to fit new)
PIAA wipers fitted

All the above DONE!!

Ordered some octane additive. rest of the euro kit is complete.
Thinking about buying a paper map of Germany.

2/3rds of the way through a polish and wax, (tight work in the garage as its quite narrow and rained most of the day yesterday) hopefully all done before next weekend.

Map is a great idea! I bought one when I was over there again in August and it was really useful. If I could only remember where I've put it.........

Ah! Thanks for the reminder! I must repair our paper map - we've got a BeNeLux/Germany map, but only ever use the same same three pages that cover Dunkirk>Auderath and they're looking a bit worse-for-wear!

I have a knocking/clonking rear Diff..
But its knocked and clonked for the last 20k miles so I'm pretty sure it will just carry on knocking and clocking with little ill effect.

Quick question for those that have stayed at this hotel before - is there somewhere to securely store wheels/ tyres?
Thanks!

what tomtom do you have, i am looking possibly for a cheap second hand one, as my one on the iphone won't let me import the route, apparently you need a full tomtom to do this.

Yes, sure we'll have a garage to use again. I'll be emptying out all the added extras when we get there (box of cleaning gear, spare tools etc) rather than dragging it round the ring

On the tool front, should we all be bringing them or is there some really nice person who normally brings them for those "oh *hit moments"?

i was going to bring a torque wrench, extension and 19mm socket, maybe charge up the impact wrench and bring that.

probably a small selection of spanners and screw drivers just in case.

Hopefully someone is taking a tyre pump as I have lost mine.

I will have a tyre compressor.

On that note !! it is a good idea to have a tyre pressure gauge.

I am obviously bring mine that can be used if I'm around at the time you need it.

It is a good idea to lower the tyre pressures slightly as on the ring you can gain several psi over a lap.
