I haven't been for years now, fancied giving it another try.

Is Seaford/Newhaven still good for it?

Cheers, that'd be great.

Have just bought a new rod/reel, and will get the rest of the stuff sorted in the next few weeks.

Am thinking of going mid-September time

I used to fish the Newhaven breakwater a lot, it's a great spot. I've had a 15lb conger, more mackerel than you could imagine, a few lobster, stacks of flatties and a fair few decent bass. One bass that went 12 1/2lb.

The biggest thing I hooked there though......

..... was a 12 stone diver

Good idea Munk.
Normans bay, as Ron said is worth a go.
Or some mackerel bashing of newhaven wall, only you have to climb over the gate nowadays .
