Even at £31k, to another collecter they are a bargain. Can't be more than a few in the world left in that condition.

My guess is that the next owner won't drive them much either....

Would love one but would have to drive it. For that money though you could have a mint RA-R plus change and for me it's no contest.

Love mine to bits. Had it 3 and a half years and have no intention of getting rid. Taking my bike test soon so I can keep the miles off her.

Hell yes on the GT40!

I love the 22B, though I do think there may be a slight case of "never meet your idol" with it. A large portion of the appeal of the 22B (to me anyway) it what it represents rather then the actual drive of the car. Its the closest looking thing Subaru ever produced to the S5/S6 WRC cars which, arguably, were (and still are) the best looking of all the Impreza WRC's.

Exactly what I would say but, funnily enough, look whats on Ebay at the moment...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...29420252611076

Be interesting to see what it goes for.

That was advertised for £30k ish IIRC, so be interesting to see if it does indeed go cheaper.

22B or RA R and I would be happy The GT40 ? would that be the proper GT40 or the chubby new one?

The new one isn't a GT40, its a GT!

You need an obscene amount of money for a genuine GT40, but there are some superb continuations/replicas out there.

If I had a choice I personally would prefer a proper GT40, but I wouldn't say no to a GT either!

Agree with that 100%.

I know (as we've seen in this thread) there's an argument for STI v5/6 RA's being a better car. They probably are. But its what the 22b represents that makes it worth so much
