Default SES Calendar 2012

Calendars now available, please see post #33 for latest info!

Prices reduced to £5 or £8 posted

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are currently producing our 2012 calendar and need to get an idea of numbers for the print run.

Prices will remain the same as last year!
- £5 each, when collected from the January or February SES meets.
- £8 for the first calendar posted, then a further £5 for each additional calendar posted to the same address at the same time.

SES makes no profit in these calendars - we're just covering our print and P&P costs. If any postage is less than £3, the change will be added to the SES Donations fund

Calendars are A3 in size, ring bound at the top with a cardboard back cover.

The photos for this year are still being finalised, but they will mainly be group photos taken from meets and events SES have attended this year. We will be taking payments to our SES Paypal address once the calendars are printed, or you can pay cash at an SES meet. We will let you know where the Jan/Feb meets will be as soon as we know!

We will base the size of the print run on the expected demand, and its first come, first served! Please add your name to the list below with how many calendars you would like.

It is a pity the calenders are not printed until after Christmas,

as they could be used for Christmas presents.

Perhaps next year they could be available from the November meeting, I do appreciate Mr.Worzel is a busy man.

Yep i agree, next year we'll have to try to get this sorted a bit earlier. But the delays are nothing to do with Worzel, I've not even sent him anything to print yet!

Apologies for the delay, just waiting for the final files to arrive from the designer.

Once they do, it's just a couple of days turnaround

Calendars have arrived from the printers and are now ready!

The printing cost was less than expected, so to keep things simple and to encourage them to be collected at a meet, the price is now reduced to just £5 each. Saves me trying to sort out change for everyone who turns up with a tenner

Calendars will be available for collection from both the January and February SES meets:
http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ad.php?t=11098
http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ad.php?t=11091

I might also be at the Surrey meet tomorrow if everything goes to plan
http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...ad.php?t=11087

If you cannot make one of the above meets and want your calendar posted to you, then please do the following:
- Send the correct amount via Paypal (gift please) to payments@southeastscoobies.co.uk (£8 for first calendar, £5 for subsequent calendars).
- Include your forum username, plus full name and address of where you want the calendar posted to.
- Calendar will be rolled and posted to you in a cardboard tube.

Any questions, just shout

Oh, and if you are collecting at a meet, you can of course still send your £5 to payments@southeastscoobies.co.uk if you like, it'll all end up in the same place to cover our costs

I'll have my cash on standby at the meet tomorrow, failing that I'll take the postage option!

PS: Does the calendar have an October? Or is that why its just a fiver?

Nobody likes January, so we thought we'd make October the first month of the year and ease everyone into 2012 gently

You'll have to enlighten me Ian, I don't remember proposing a set of photos beforehand. We had a thread asking for submissions, but some pics just aren't right for the calendar in terms of image quality, lighting etc and wouldn't work when printed. A photo that looks fine on screen at 75dpi can look shoddy as hell when printed at 300dpi.

I chose the best of the photos I had, but I always knew I couldn't please everyone!

Correct me if I am wrong,

I thought it was said that you needed pictures of groups of scoobs rather than individual cars.

Thankyou Steve_PPP and Lancasterprint

For sorting through the pictures and producing the second SES calendar

We as SES, hope members are happy with the calendar for 2012... Should you like the look of the calendar as below.......

You can make purchases by following the details within this thread..(highlighted again below)

Quote:

Whilst we try and produce a calendar that is of a quality that members will be proud to display, we cannot please everybody as such, please only purchase the calendar if you are happy with the format and content shown above.

Again, many thanks to Steve_PPP for the calendar design and many thanks to Lancasterprint for rushing through the calendar to completion.

Thanks Ron.

I'm surprised by some of the responses on here.... its taken time and effort to sort this calendar - designed by a professional graphic designer and printed by a professional printing company. Its not something knocked up in 5 minutes and printed on someones old HP Deskjet!

9 of the 12 photos are group pictures, thats most of them in my eyes. I used what I had available, we didn't have anything else submitted that was suitable.

For £5 its a bargain, and hopefully most of our members will agree I'll be at the Surrey meet this afternoon if anyone wants to collect one today.
