Exclamation The Ring Checklist
Those who have been before will probably have most of this stuff already. For those who have not been before, the below list is invaluable.

Most of the items in the "For The Car" section are actually law in Europe, so I would advise that you make sure that you do / have these things arranged.

I'm sure that most of you who have been before will have this stuff, but it's well worth double checking, just in case. Anything that you haven't got can be purchased at places like Halfords, or worst case scenario on the ferry, but they do charge a bit more there.

The items in BLUE are the ones that are Law in Europe!

The Check List
FOR THE CAR

1: Spare Bulb Kit
2: Warning Triangle
3: Hi Visibility Vests (1 for each person in car)
4: Headlight Beam Deflectors
5: Fire Extinguisher
6: First Aid Kit
7: Octane Booster
8: Oil (optional but advised)
9: GB Sticker
10:Spare Key
11: Sat Nav (with European Data)
12: Crash Helmet
13: European Insurance & Breakdown Cover (make sure it covers repatriation, just in case)
14: Track insurance (those insured with Keith Micheals, call Moley)
15: Driving License (including Paper Part)
16: Locking wheel nut tool

PERSONAL ITEMS

1: Ferry Tickets (confirmation e-mail) & Passports
2: E 111
3: Euro's and debit / credit cards (inform bank that you are away for safety)
4: Mobile Phone & Charger
5: Headache Tablets (trust me)
6: European Plug Adaptor


Those with TOM TOM's down load the shell garages onto your european maps.

If you know of anything that need adding to this list, please feel free to add it.

No bracket means it will be rolling around yes? if so I can just put it under the passenger seat with a well place towel/bag so would be greatful to borrow that and will return unsed hopefully if Im not spending all day putting out burnt out evo's on the track

JDM HID's wasnt the same place as you lot... i got flashed by most cars at night, i just put the full beam on and blinded them

I am beginning to not too I will be glad when I am there.

E111 should cover most things but it doesn't cover repatriation.

Have you told the insurers that you have an existing condition?

Its going to cost me another £60 to get cover.

If I have troubles I am covered by the E111 for the clot buster.
I am going well prepared with asprin and GTN.

If I snuff it put me in someones boot and take me home, I wont feel a thing.

Mate I've researched and trust me if we are unfortunate to have problems with existing conditions it will cost a fortune.
I have good cover free with my Lloyds account, I then gave them all my history which put an £18 premium on it.

You have to deflect the head light beam so it does not blind on coming drivers.

You can buy the kits from Halfords.

Or all you need is some black insulating tape and stick in the right position on the light.

Got pretty much all my bits sorted and ready to take - anybody taking tools, I have a small kit and a larger kit, if nobody else is taking anything I'll take the larger kit.

I'll also have a 12v pump with me.

Anybody know if ScoobySi still wants to borrow an extinguisher from me?

I'll take the small kit then - no doubt we'll have enough between us then - I'll be taking a litre of oil hopefully I won't need any as the leaks are all fixed!

I'll be taking some basic tool that'll let me change brake pads after my last experience with bluestuff NDXs - hopefully this set will be better!

If anyone has not sorted their European breakdown cover, go with Churchill.
I have normally just upgraded my AA but they want £90.
I shopped around this morning and Churchill fully comprehensive cover is £37. Spot on.
