Default Hello people

Hi everyone my names Matthew I'm 24 and from Kent. My car is a Subaru wrx sti v8 import.
This is the first Subaru I have owned- had it for four months or so now and absolutely loving it even though it is draining my wallet bigtime lol. I must say that the site is looking good and hopefully someone will always be there to answer any questions that I may have about my subaru or subaru's in general as this is the first one and first turbo car that I have owned. Had a civic type r ep3 before this and before the honda a corsa lol. Hopefully will attend a meet or so soon. I have been a member on Kent Scoobies for a while so thought I would join this forum too

Here are some pics of the car....

Since I have owned it I have fitted the STI mudflaps, had an uprated cg motorsport cerametallic paddle clutch fitted, fitted rear door speakers alpine 4" ones and a WR1 Gearknob.
I have ordered a Do luck panel filter a carbon fibre front strut brace and a rear strut brace so they should hopefully arrive in the next few days.
I have a rolling road day next weekend with kent scoobies so will be interested to see what sort of power the car is producing.

I might get a few more bits for it next month lol any suggestions?

Comments and opinions appreciated
Thanks
Matthew

To SES.

The WR1 gear knob will be a big improvement.

Have you thought about a rear Whiteline 24mm ARB ??

Yeah looked at these on the net last night after you recommended it- best place I could find it was on scoobyparts for £155 if i can remember. Do these make a huge difference to the handling then? I suppose a front one is needed ideally as well then?

Yep, definately. Get some whiteline drop links for the rear as well as the standard ones are rubbish and flex too much.

Nope, not really. The rear is the one that makes the difference. Worth doing the front drop links if you want to, but the front arb doesn't have to be changed to notice the difference.

Depending on what type of drop links you have got as standard.

I was told by Dave at Gatwick that because of the type of drop link i have its not necessary. ( I dont have the C shaped ones )

You do need the up graded mounts though, well thats what I was recommended by the garage.

I have not done anything to the front as Steve says, it certainly changes the feel of the scoob.

I expect Prodrive upgraded yours on the WR1, gotta be a few nice bits on there to justify the price (and colour )

Hi and welcome to SES.
Lovely looking scoob you have there.
Front and rear drop links and rear ARB will tighten things up, worth getting a fast road geo set up to.
Of course depends on budget but you could then go for coil overs.
The good thing is on SES we have members with everything from completely standard set ups to very expensive set ups,so there is plenty of feadback to browse.
