Default 5 min 34 sec lap

Well thought i'd better practice for the Ring trip, so GT5 out and I did a 5min 34 sec lap on my second attempt................

ok it was in the Red Bull nutter car, but it certainly got the reflexes going. Now to try it in a Scoob!

wonder if i'll get under 15 mins in real life.

lol, i found it was better to learn it from watching youtube clips than on GT5.

You'll be under 15 minutes, even on your first lap!

yeah on to the vids later, am using xbox360 and ps3 to learn track, onl;y as a very rough guide. Never going to learn that many corners in a hurry, but I found it helps even if you roughly know what is ahead.

Yeah, thats the right approach. At least try and learn where the circuit goes in front of you and roughly how sharp each bend is. You can't do any more than that until you get there imo.

Happy to take you round for a lap if you want to see it first, i'll probably go down on the Friday afternoon when we get there

yeah I would love to take you up on that offer. I am having confidence issues with my driving ability, which I have never had before, had it at Goodwood the other week for the first session.

Also my confidence in my car holding together engine/gearbox/clutch wise is decreasing by the day. Really wanted to get another engine in before we went but I got to stop somewhere.

Your welcome to come round and use the seat and wheel to practice on GT5 if you like.
I have my blob STI setup with same geo settings as my real car, roughly same shock settings and spring KG's all set the same and ride height adjusted to give the same stance/height. Drive it round on comfort medium tires, makes it nice and dangerous

8.08 B to G seems still too fast (bearing in mind no traffic and a tendency to be flamboyant, perhaps I need to go with comfort hard really don't want to stoop to those tires though, not trying to drift it round!

I had a quick spin in the redbull tonight and in one lap it has ruined my lap records board! stupid redbull

Really looking forward to driving the real thing now,(The track not the redbull :P I would't get in that thing!!) will take it nice and steady, not expecting to get below 10mins :P
