Default Japfest 2013, Castle Coombe - 11th May

Japfest is coming up on the 11th May 2013 so I thought I'd chuck a thread up for it!

For those of you who are a little unsure what it is, its a massive Jap car only gathering that takes place at Castle Coombe in Wiltshire. Surrey members have been there the last few years and its always been a good day out; loads of action of track and loads of stuff to look at in the paddock areas.

Official site with more details can be found here:

http://www.japfest.co.uk/

Steve PPP has told me there are no plans for an official SES stand, so I thought I would offer places on the Surrey Scoobies stand to any SES members who want to attend. Lupuss joined us last year, but if any of you fancy coming then please post up in this thread.

The plan is to draw up a list over the next couple of weeks and get our application for a stand in next month. Entry with the club is £20 per car, but you can bring up to four people per car at no extra charge.

Thanks for posting this up Steve.

There's just too much going on in May already for SES to put a stand together for this one - we've got the Supercar Siege on 18th May and then out to Germany the weekend after. But its good to post these sort of things up for those that have the time and/or can't make the other events already in May

I keep thinking of this or the Rally day but 2 things always put me off.
JapFest is always too close the ring trip to justify a 300 mile round trip and Rally Day always seems plagued by long queues.

No worries: you can't do everything, so happy to offer places for anyone who fancies going!

Right, I see the closing date for clubs is looming, so I need to get on with this!

I will be collecting money this week with a view to submitting the form next week. I will be at the Surrey Scoobies monthly meet (at The Fairmile in Cobham) so I can take cash then: if you unable to make that then drop me a PM and I can give you Paypal/post details.

After the running round last year I won't be buying tickets for anyone who hasn't paid in advance, so please get your money to me ASAP!
