Right then Folks. Official dates only go up to February at the moment, which is a complete pain. I will keep checking and post the dates ASAP though.


A few people have dropped out unfortunately, so can you please confirm that you are still coming and what room configuration you want.


The list for the ring as it stands today is as below. Please copy and paste with your confirmation.

The limit will be on how many rooms the hotel has available.

As Ian said the limit is only on the hotel rooms in the hotel we stayed at last year, however some of us stayed in hotel just up the road and it was very nice.
We have not limited the numbers that can go, however we will be organising into groups of about 10 cars nearer the time.
The plan is everyone get same ferry over then head down in groups as its impossible to keep 20 plus cars in convoy all the way.
We can make sure that the groups have someone thats been before in them.
Nearer the time we will post up all the important stuff for those that have never been, ie insurance,car prep,safety and laws.

At the moment Norfolk line have an offer on £36.00 return. including tax.

Leaving at 08.00 28/05/10 returning 18.00 31/05/10

or the slightly later return ferry costs an extra £4.00

It would be best when booking the return trip to make it 20.01 as a few of us only just made the last ferry. Not to mention the bloody speed trap

As soon as the dates are confirmed we will post all the ferry booking details.
Big E has spoken to the ferry people they have confirmed we will get discount on a group booking.
Worzel will keep us all posted on the hotel side of things.

I only need the ferry for the return but if we get a discount it may be cheaper/easier for me to book a return with you guys and just not use the outward ticket. I've got a feeling the tunnel is going to cost me on the outward leg!

Yes mate, i was looking at tunnel last year as dont travel on sea to well.
It was about 120 quid return.

Ok people, after a discussion with Ian this morning and checking some links to "package" sites. The weekend we want to go is absolutely fine.

I will be sending the confimation e-mail to Jacquelline on Monday 18th Jan, so I need anyone who hasn't confirmed to do so before this. I will send out a PM to all of those that haven't confirmed as well.

I will have a butchers at that hopefully before we go.

I have a couple of other bits to do first though. Namely a Installing a Simtek map with JGM, then maybe front mount if I don't get the figures I want. If I do get the numbers with the Simtek then the FMIC will change to brakes for sure.

I was contacted this morning by BIG E with regards to the Nurburgring trip in may. I don't own a Scooby any more but did have a WRX around 2000. Any way I came to have a nose around as i was invited by Big E. So to help you i came here to post The times for that weekend
Fri 17:30- 19:30
Sat 13:30 - 19:30
Sunday 08:30 - 19:30
Monday 17:30 - 19:30 but i think you will all be on the way home by then.

I gave Big E my mobile number and if you have any problems in Germany i will be only to happy to help if i can, as i will be out there that weekend myself. My web sites are full of Nurburgring info but i will not spam here and post them if a member of admin wants to look and post feel free. Rob PBC Motorsport.

We really ought to plan a meet then, seeing you are there exactly the same time as us.

We ought to start looking into the ferries now. Do you know what ferry you guys are getting out? Last time we got one at around 7.30 IIRC.

We could even link up there if the timings right.

I have just contacted Norfolk Line Ferries (who we used last year) to ask about sailing times.

Going out Friday 28th May, ferries start at 2.00am and are every 2 hours after that (so 4.00am - 6.00am - 8.00am etc)

Returning either Monday 31st May or Tuesday 1st June, it is exactly the same timetable from Dunkirk and they run up until midnight.

Next question is, are we going to try and do a group booking? Or are we doing our own individual bookings? There will be a small saving to be had by booking as a group, but then there is the problem of one person paying and everyone else getting that person the money.
