Default Tyre's for 18s

Hi, whats the best option for 18s on a bugeye.. im thinking 225, 40, or 225, 45

i put some 18s on with 35 profiles and they looked smaller than my 17s which have 215,45

Standard on the FSTi is 225/45/18, so I would have thought that's maybe too much profile for an Impreza.

Many who run 18's on an Impreza go for 225/40, myself included.

You can run 235/40/18 for putting a bit more rubber down. going to 225/35 would be smaller than the original radius of the standard rim/tyre combo

I'm biased, but they're good looking wheels in my opinion.

I'd be intrigued to see them on an Impreza.

I'm biased too they look great , id change them back if I could afford it . my new ones are horrid to clean and spokes are much more open and I can see my discs and calipers decaying before very eyes!

A set went recently on subaruforester.org I think, which might give you a benchmark for what they're worth (look in the European Marketplace).

My second set cost me about £500 with reasonable tyres about two or three years ago. They were in decent condition, but needed (and still need!) refurbishing.
