Right then people, for all those meeting at Pease pottage services @8.30am, could you confirm your meeting there, because as of 9am we will be leaving which means you will have to catch up if your late or make your own way there.

Many thanks guys and please drive slowly and quietly around the site please.

See you all there

The mapping at SRR is by Simon - Jolly Green Monster. You'll be looking at about £550 for the first map, as this includes an EcuTek license which you'll need unless you go to an open source mapper.

No such thing as staged maps, each map is bespoke to the car and parts fitted ,Simon will possibly load a 'base' map that he's got on file from a similar spec car as a starting point before customising it to yours. The first map costs more on Ecutek as you pay not only for Simons time (the map) but also the license fee to EcuTek for the software. For future maps you only pay for Simons time (plus dyno time if needed).

There are other mappers who use 'open source' software to map which is cheaper as there is no license on the first map, future maps cost the same though, however I have no direct experience so cannot comment, my car has bee mapped by 3 different people but all were Ecutek based (PowerStation, Pat Herborn, JGM).

I Believe I have an open source map at the mo, (aprox 380bhp/350lb/ft) 1.5 bar launch control etc.
There are some interesting developments in mapping the standard ecu at the moment as I understand it including flatfoot shifting, switchable maps and proper anti lag etc etc, believe Andy Forest has done a couple + one or two others.., some new developments floating this way from across the pond.
