Theres a lot to it and only really worth doing if your gonna do competitions and need all the power you can get from your set up

It will give you approx 10% more power than Vpower, but logistics of carrying it around and guestimating amounts to fill if the tank isn't fully empty etc really doesn't lend itself to everyday usage if you do lots of miles.

However if you have an ECU that can do twin maps and/or its a low mileage weekend car then its much easier logistacally.

I drive my car on Vpower and sprinted it with 20% meth last year, but this year because I'm doing MSA sprints meth is banned, so I will only be using it at non MSA events like scoobyshootout

Justin put what i wanted to put but takes to long on my mobile lol

Remember meth burns with an invisible flame as well and is very bad for your health if it gets on your skin to many times, also it seperates when left in the tank for to long

Well, I use 5ltrs which I think is around 7%?

My results went like this.

402 bhp / 359lbft (V Power and NF Octane Booster) EcuTek ecu'd

411 Bhp / 375lbft (V Power and 5ltrs Meth) EcuTek ecu'd

453bhp / 390lbft (V Power 5 ltrs Meth and FMIC) Simtek

I use my car everyday so don't use the meth map all the time. But boy, when it's in and you switch the maps you notice it.

The mixing side of things. Depends howbig your ******** are tbh. Or in my case how stupid you are.......lol

I once the light comes on switch the car to a low boost map and take it easy. I put in 15ltrs of neate V Power and wait for that to go and once light comes on again and take it easy. If use the low boost map fill the tank again and carry the same process.

It when you go from neate V Power to add the meth you have to grow a pair. I simply let it get as low as I think it will be. Poor the meth in and fill it up. Leave it on the low boost map for the first 20/50 miles and then switch the map to high boost.

Hope that makes sense?

Steve

If you have a place to store a drum its even cheaper

I will be doing 20% meth on my new set up for drag racing this year

But must say its been nice this year without having to bother carrying it or handling it in the garage

I did carry out a few other mods too mate which I haven't listed above to help get the results.

Cheap, NO. Bang for buck on my budget with a young family and lazy wife to be (Anyone who knows who do NOT tell her that.lol) YES.

Syvecs is the next step on ECU side of things. I wanted to go with the Syvecs but to be honest after thinking about it not only from a money point of view (got to love joint accounts) the Syvecs would have been an over kill for my needs. Simtek is great and over say a EcuTek mapped ECU the difference is mind blowing so can only assume the Syvecs is better. All I wanted was to be able to have ALS,LC and Switch maps . I am going to send off the ECU to get another x2 maps added soon.

Without going off the subject (I have a habbit of this) too much. Meth, will give you gains. But would look at other stuff to assist the meth map to give you the desired results mate.

If it helps. Meth works as a good cleaner too on sot and carbon deposits. lol

3k with stew - now that sounds v v tempting! Wonder how long he's doing that for?

I saw the enginetuner post on Scoobynet Tim - the kit looks amazing. I'd sadly like to buy the cossie pistons just for paperweights or something as they are truly a thing of beauty.

Let me know how you get on as I'd like to do the same with mine one day. Good luck with the work.
