Default 17"s or 18"s ROAD WHEELS

Hi Folks,

I appreciated that 18" wheels seems to be the norm now.

But is it not generally accepted that 17" is better for a road car.

Being lighter and more sidewall on the tyre?

Think the general opinion is that the classic rides better on a 17" wheel, obviously the less side wall you have the more the ride will be compromised but on track less side wall means less flex, guess it's a compromise of ride quality over handling.
