show room shine any good?

has any one tryed the show room shine and is it as good as they say on ideal world? thinking about getting it but be nice to know if its good or not?

Never heard of it and personally wouldn't use it myself, go the tried and tested route of snow foam, two buckets, then polish, glaze, wax - twice a year throw a clay bar over the car as well.

Waterless wash + dirty car = more micro-scratches than you started with = duller finish.

These products are good for VERY light soiling (yes yes I said soiling), but for proper cleaning of cars all they do is rub the dirt around over the paint more than water.

Don't believe the bollox hype.

And anyway, a "showroon shine" is usually **** to start with, so why you would want to recreate that is beyond me !!!

Nothing more than a quick detailer probably good at what it does if used correctly

Advertised for the masses where most will be happy to think their cars are nice clean and looked after without all the hastle of washing drying etc etc, whereas most of us would only ever use it after a wash anyway

Some of the pound type shops sell the Astonish Spray and Shine, similar product but at only £1 works out alot cheaper than the showroom shine Its also a very good product, again if used correctly..

Id steer clear mate no "waterless" car wash product works without leaving some sort of damage to the paint, theres a reason why people use water as it lifts the dirt away as it runs off the paint. As northdownsscooby said a showroom shine is generally kack once you get it into the sunlight anyway.

when they use it on thye demos they say it lifts the dirt some how and it dose not cause any damage it has 70% conewba wax , **** knows how you spell that .i know that is really good stuff and you can use this stuff on every thing to but they recomend you dont use it on windows because of glare or some thing,i just thought you it was a good little tool to have if it is any good when sowing car at car parks and meets because its quick and easy and seems to have effetless results look out for it on idael world ....you might change your mind....apartly mercedes benz dealler ships use it as well,i find miro fibre cloths are much better then chames too....

It's called 'quick detailer ' - it's nothing new...or special....or magical...and will NEVER be better than a good wash, polish & wax.

And seriously, who believes anything they hear at demos !!!

Its a quick detailer as we have said already

Any of the quick detailers out on the market will do the same as advertised on the TV

As said, if used for what it really is, then its probably as good as any other product within that range

If this is all you use to clean a heavily soiled car then expect to do some correction very quickly afterwards

If you want a cheap quick detailer try this it is a good product, when used as a quick detailer. It will do exactly the same as the showroom shine for a fraction of the cost

Not to sound rude but why would you want to use a cleaning product to clean the dirt off that has a 70% carnauba wax content. Not only would the waterless cleaner cause damage to the paint the wax would seal in some of the dirt and damage too. it probably has soo much wax in it to cover up any damage it causes. it probably does leave a good shine for a while untill the wax evapourates.


Like admin and nothdownsscooby said get some quick detailer, but before that give it a decent clean then use the quick detailer before shows and meets etc to give it a quick spruce up, any qd is good, i use this one, you can mix it up depending on the dirt level and it lasts for ages, i only got the big one because i use alot of it

I use greased lightning on my old scoob but yet to use it on my BMW. I think its brilliant stuff, I wouldnt use it on a filthy car but great if your cars got a layer of dust/dirt. You can use it on all surfaces too. Only way you'll know wether you like it is to get some. They sell it on ebay.

I have used that show room shine on my car its really good as long as the car ant rot. And if u ant got a lot of time its so easy

I can see the initial benifits being good, but longterm wise imo it would cause more damage than good.
