Default The SLaG Update Pics

These are only a couple taken on the phone, now with the twin air intakes and the new black mirrors.

I am hoping to take some proper pics on Sunday.

Cheers all, getting there.

Greg, oil cooler went in with a couple of minor issues which Dave got round after a bit of swearing.

Small plate is just becauase I am fed up with the wreckage from removing the big one, it's not staying for long hopefully.

I have ordered a plate for it, which should be done on Monday.

The ones I ordered previously were not forthcoming.

So, with any luck, the small plate will go and it will look like this.

Looking good - how about carbon wrapped mirrors though to match the grille?

Cheers all

Rich, have thought about getting the FMIC sprayed black. But then, sharks teeth on it as mentioned by Didlo.... hmmmmmmm.

Chris, De-tango is on the cards now, going to chat stiggy up to get this done

Nick, again, thought about carbon fibre mirrors and have actually got a set I bought at Japbash a few years back. I prefer the plain black though.

So, in summary...... nowhere bloody near finished is it?

Steve, its a bloody credit to you that car. Love what you have done with it. I am still a bit undecided about the stick on plate on the bonnet if i'm honest, but it does set it apart from everything else.

Definately another vote for the black FMIC, I much prefer the look of the darker front mounts.

I did the detango on my Scoob yesterday and can't stop looking at the car now, it looks so much better. Given in Worzel, you know it makes sense...

* = What actually happened: Darth Maull did the detango while I stood back and pulled an assortment of worried looking faces.

PMSL!

You wait until you wake up in Germany with a pig sprayed on your chest Nige...... In GLOSS!

I have had a thought on that score actually Nige, I am thinking of doing you a stencil along the lines of Keith Harris and Orville / Cuddles the Monkey.

The monkey used to Say, in a northern twang " I hate that duck" which I could change to "I hate that Pig". So you could spray it near the Pigs.

Not yet mate

You made a comment about a carbon splitter the other day Lee, been there, spent ****loads on one, lasted a month before I nudged a kerb stone with it and it shattered! The same **** with the fibre glass ones.

So gone for a good old flexible plastic one, which does the job, looks ok and costs not a lot. I bet I have bought 6 splitters before that one.

There lies the problem. They look sooooo much better low and soooooo much better with a splitter, but the 2 dont suit each other. Even on mine, which isnt particularly low, I now have 2 roads in Saltdean I cant use!. Will it stop me going lower -- NO! Just have to go the long way round.

Anything with a speed bump is a complete no. But like you Steve, I wouldn't have it any other way. Just go the long way round

The plastic ones are pretty good to be honest, they just scrape along the ground, I'm sure a rubber one would grab and rip off!

I think the view is that you really need to make the splitter break first. I guess if its too strong, it'll take the bumper off.
