Default Majorscooby is on his way back!!!!

Well the day has come and ive gone and bought myself another scoob after being away for nearly 2 and half years.

I was in process of chasing silversurfers old car but missed the sale by a few days

Anyway i came across this on a classic car web site late one night and thought "yeah thats what i want, and in that colour". rang the guy who was selling it and went and viewed the next day. Just after the Arse gropper meet.

Its got a few little niggles here and there on the body work but thats to be excepted on a london car, other than that its in an exceptional condition and hasn't (as Krissy b would put it) been ragged around halfords car park buy some chav in nike air max's with a clima cool hat!

Its very standard inside and out but thats what i wanted, something to make my own again.

Ill stick the ad description after the pics.

Hope you like chaps and chapess's, feel free to comment.

Oh and i pick her up next saturday, if all goes to plan!

this was the ad detail below

Engine: Subaru 1,994cc 4-cylinder 280bhp - No Modifications!
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Colour: Blue Steel Metallic (86F), sometimes referred to as Cool Gray
Body: 4-Door Classic

Mileage: 49,120 miles only
First Reg: 01/07/1999

Exterior: Speedline Silver Alloys, Toyo Proxes 215/40 ZR17, Locking Wheel Nuts, Standard v5 Spoiler and Exhaust. Visually very similar to the RB5 - just with more power.

Interior: Air Conditioning, Electric Windows (4), Remote Central Locking, Clifford Concept 600 Thatcham 1 Alarm/Immobilizer, Kenwood CD/MP3 Player, Black WRX Premier Mat Set

History: Purchased from Roger Clark Motorsport (RCM) @ 11,556 miles in April 2004. RCM originally imported the car for one of their customers in July 1999 and I am the only other owner. No track days. HPI. Full Specialist Service History. MOT and tax until Jan 2012.

• Absolutely no mechanical modifications - all is as standard and unmolested!
• Only change is the substitution of Silver Speedline Alloys for the garish standard gold alloys. These were purchased brand new from, and fitted by, Roger Clark Motorsport.
• Mature driver (40), Institute of Advanced Motorists. This car has been cared for and has had a very easy life covering just 49k miles.
• Specialist servicing by either Roger Clark Motorsport or Park Lane Ltd. in Alton.

Issues: Some scuff-marks on alloys and a few door opening/car-park indentations and stone-chips. Some bubbling/beginnings of rust on near-side rear wheel-arch, stopped in its tracks with neutralizer. Interior is absolutely immaculate.

Thanks guys and girls!

Forgot to mention i payed 5k for it which i didn't think was to bad, reasonable do you think??? not that it really matters i like it, but its nice to know other peoples thoughts, was originally up for 6k.

When i went to view it the guy got all the paper work out to show its service history, never seen so many receipts and bills! i think in one year he covered around 2000 miles if that.

Ive looked at so many and its such a mine field out there, but saw this and thought, Hmmmm yeah i like that, sod it, and bit the bullet.

Shame you didn't get my old'en as you would of been a fantastic person to own it. looks like you found a good un though that you can make put your stamp on, which You would of struggled to do on mine, unless quite a radical change.

Lets start with :
Detango
STi 6 splitter, genuine ABS plastic not fibreglass (www.scoobyparts.com)
and fit a high power Red LED bulb cluster in the rear cluster to re-locate the rear fog (www.ultraleds.co.uk).

Good to have you back mate........

Cheers scott, You hit the nail on the head there with those, apart from the splitter, thats exactly what i picked up on for the first few small mods! Especially that fog light.

Very nice Rich. I have a saw and some cardboard to convert the rear-end into a wagon if you can't get on with the boot.

My greatest apologies Sir that i couldn't return in a wagon!!!

I just couldn't find one that was suitable or worthiness for the squadron missions and rolls required of me!

I do hope i can still carry on under the wing of chocks chockington and become part of the TMT and free up a space for another worthy fighter pilot?

I may very well take you up on the carboard and saw task if the dog doesn't fit in the boot she is a big old fury lass, the husky that is.

i look forward to a catch up soon over a ginger beer and a wagon wheel, what what, HURRAH.
