Default Winter tyres opinions please

Getting in early with this one....Anyone use winter tyres that can recommend a good brand or advise not to bother?

I just use Eagle ASY F2 all year round don't bother with winter and summer options ��

If we have a winter like the last one there is no need to bother..

I hhave Hankooks, but as Big E notes last winter was hardly a good test!

Theres a set of almost new falkens on scruffy wheels on snet - £200

Tyres are the new type at about £75 a pop i think
