Default possibly a daft question??

Hi all this might sound daft but does a oil catch can need emptying now and then? bare with me ive never had one on a car and need to look after the old girl the best i can!! cheers

i got one with a drain bung in the bottom, so imagine it would from time to time.

Yep she certainly does haha me and munk just turfed it out and i suppose the can is a must have after seeing what it collects!! intercooler was clean as a whitle along with everything else that normally gets caked in oil so i recon its a must ! cheers for the help munk[ give the old girl a good polish today too and comes up lovely!! will get some photos uploaded soonATTACH]1165[/ATTACH]

Mmmm was like a mars milkshake curd lol least its done and wont need doing again for a good 1k, i had to put my lips around the gammy was once clear level pipe! not nice bloody good shout putting one on tho quite chuffed at that after seeing oil and crap inside the intercooler on my previous scoobs!!

There is a hex bolt at bottom of can and turn this to let out what's in it mate

yeah i noticed that once it was out looks abit awkward to get at so i think taking the whole lotout would be the easyist option least that way itl get a real good clean, we also adjusted the hose on the intercooler which seems to have worked! now it pulls lovely without the splutter just for reference which engine oil did you use??cheers!

It was fully synth 10/50 prob millers as that's the empty I just thrown away glad it goes well nice to know you like it and it's well looked after

Cheers matey!! yeah love it!! never had a scoob thats been tuned properly so need to learn the do's and donts! And look after it properly ect just gutted it didnt come up sooner lol i wasted a good £350 searching with the cash i had wasnt much about and alot over priced!! cant go wrong buying off here!

i had a catch can like that...couldn't be bothered with the hex key and siphoned out the crap with a large syringe and hose (from my druggie days lol)
