Default What diff on a type R?

Hello all,ive got a MY98 type R and will have the 6 speed i bought off Anger going in it soon.
The box also come with the diff and prop from a WR1.

My question is, does my car come with a R180 diff as standard?

Ive been told on another forum that the one that came on my car WOULD have been an R180 and i will already have the larger shafts as standard on the car that the 6 speed needs.
But have been advised to change over the diffs as the type R one is a 4.44 ratio and the one that come with the 6 speed is 3.9 ratio.
Is this correct?
I just want to be 100% so the more thumbs up i get the happier i am.
Many thanks guys.
