Default I need tyres... but which ones?

I'm after a set of tyres for my Kompressor

Keeping the 16's on there for the time being. AMG 17's or 18's in the summer hopefully

2 tyres i've got are only just legal

I'm after a set that are 205/55/16 as i want to keep the ride quality but need a tyre that is very grippy & quite quiet

Found Toyo proxys for £55 each

Anyone know of any better ones that come in the size I need

Thanks

Michelin Pilot's, but they are pricey and soft!
Had them on the back of my BMW are was pleased but they didn't last long as I'd hoped so switched to "my trusted" Goodyears and got some "Excellence" for a good price. Been good so far and ride is not bad on 18s

I got highly recommended the vredesteins ultrac sessentas. All the reviews i got on them were exceptional. I couldnt get hold of them though and ended up with vredestein ultrac centos which i cant recommend.

Toyos are meant to be pretty good just wear fairly quick.

The Centos should be good for the merc though, light weight and made for a quieter ride, more fitting the purpose of the tyre type, sessantas for the impreza though!
