Default Chaos at Brands

Went up to the Truck Racing as a friend at work managed to get some Free Tickets.

Why do free things always end up the best, as it turned into quite an eventful day.

Lets Start with a small Scooby Fire :
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v9...t=100_8553.mp4

Followed by Truck roll on the run down to Graham Hill Bend

Several minutes laters....(pic nicked from P'heads')

The big accident on entrance to Graham Hill bend on Lap 2, truck rolled and driver trapped.
For obviouse reasons all regular marshalls stand well out of the way during the racing, basically in with the crowd.

What was strange is that none of these marshalls were attending the rolled truck, only what may be specialist recovery.

Anyhow....after several minutes with the truck on it's side the Fire Pick-up comes out of the paddock and around Paddock Hill bend, little does he know one of the Trucks in lap 1 had dropped diesel all round the track.

Fire truck gets well sideways, everybody cheers....then as it gets to the steepest part of paddock it flips onto it's roof rupturing the fire extinguishers, then lands back on it's wheels.

Driver and passenger from Fire Truck now trapped aswell......Marshalls then descend from everywhere....complete Chaos.....

Both Fire attendants and driver from original Truck crash all taken to medical centre.
Fire Truck driver/passenger had no crash helmets, so hope they are all OK. Fingers crossed just whiplash. Race Truck driver may have broken shoulder.

Needless to say it all took a little while to clear up.

A few pics from my vantage point, shame the camera kept focussing on the fence

In this one you can see how bent the arnco was, which took a while to put right :

Nice of the Marshall to highlight the Diesel spill, if maybe a little late for their collegues in the Fire Truck ;

The Damage :

We were up the other end for that one.
They had 3 races today.
Race One stopped after 4 laps due to above roll at Paddock
Race Two stopped after 2 laps due to roll at Graham Hill and Fire Truck.
Race 3 completed full distance although legged it to the car on the final lap, as very busy and wanted to get home.

Blimey, that look like a comedy of errors!

Not what you expect to see is it.

The worst thing is, that fire truck must have been seriously top heavy, see probably quite easy to go over

My snaps from the day and a video, unfortunately I stopped filming once they all got to Druids as I wasn't expecting the carnage that followed

Some of the other stuff

Saphire Cossie being seriously hassled by a 1380 twin cam mini

He'd spun coming round clearways and clouted the curbs, flames appeared from the bonnet vent as soon as he recovered so must have knocked a hose off somewhere.
