Default SES January Meet - The Fountain - Ashurst 18/01/15
This Months meet will be held on Sunday the 18th at The Fountain Inn Ashurst, at 11.30

For those of you that have been before you will know this place serves excellent food! There is a side turning just after the front of the pub with a large carpark at the rear.

If we could all aim to be there for around 11.30 That would be perfect! its an early lunch so food will be served at around 12.15

The Venue has asked for us to provide them with a pre order for food so if you could post what you would like that would be great, I have attached a copy of the menu below:-


Nibbles:
Breads, Sussex Gold cold pressed rape seed oil, herb vinegar, olives & pickles £5.50
Starters:
Soup of the day, malted loaf, herb butter £6
Sussex cheese-cake, roasted cauliflower, beetroot, onion caramel £6.50
Sussex potted pork, cider jelly, toast, sage butter, apple, fennel & baby leaf salad £7.50
‘Springs’ smoked salmon, lemon wedge, baby leaf salad, malted loaf, herb butter £8

Calcot Farm charcuterie board £15 (to share)
Mains:
Calcot Farm sausages, buttered mash, red wine gravy £10
Cottage pie, cheddar glaze, minted peas £11
Beef burger, sour dough bun, Monterey Jack cheese, burger sauce, iceberg, tomato, sweet & sour onions, rustic fries £13
Fried chicken burger, sour dough bun, slaw, ginger mayo, sticky sauce, iceberg, rustic fries £13

Beer battered fish & chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce, lemon £13
Pumpkin gnocchi, tomato, smoked paprika, olives, Jerusalem artichoke, kale, goats cheese £14

Roasts:

Roast Sussex pork, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, seasonal vegetables, proper gravy, redcurrant jelly £13.00
Roast rump of Sussex beef, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, proper gravy, horseradish sauce £15.50
Roast Sussex lamb, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, proper gravy, mint sauce £14.00
Nut loaf, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, vegetarian gravy, redcurrant jelly £11.00

Sides:
Rustic fries | steamed kale, peas & sprout tops | roast potatoes £3 each
Beef dripping chips | lamb boulangere potatoes £4 each




Please Note:- That Pork on the roast menu is alternated with Turkey on a week on week bases.. and the guy there couldn't confirm which was the case on the day!! I will confirm nearer the time for any that want Roast pork or turkey!
