That is certainly a project mate! And I thought the Scoob was enough to keep you occupied... At least you and Louise can share the work load with this one!

Tell me about it mate. Ripped out my lounge at the weekend to start that.... ceilings down, wallpaper off, fireplace gone, re-wire, chase walls out for new cable drops. Bit of a mess at the moment:

Will look awesome when done but its a long way from that now!

What type of flooring? If it's a laminate type/ tongue and groove solid floor you may have to leave it for another 7/10 days to let it climatise (sp?) to it's new surroundings.

Things are getting interesting stipping the main bedroom and the back wall was looking a bit out of shape so me and my bud decided to strip it and found this a fake wall hiding the solid wall with some computer speakers facing into the wall wtf

Who's on the other side of that wall, may have been a neighbour dispute about noise. Can you imagine if you worked nights but could hear music all day when trying to sleep. All that sound insulation would have blocked out noise coming the other way.

I'm running cat5e from my lounge and study back to where my router lives in the hall whilst doing my chasing, but why hdmi? All of my hdmi stuff (tv, sky, blueray + ps3) are all together in the same tv unit... Any other likely use for it that we haven't seen yet??

HDMI optional but as you see fit. Eg if you want to have a TV on a wall and an AV Unit else where. Personally I'd rather run a cylindrical conduit allowing for future cabling needs

Well the main bedroom that had the dodgy fake wall with random computer speakers facing into the wall took alot of work which invloved a fresh coat of undercoat thistle bonding to cover the exposed brickwork on the chimney breast followed by a fresh coat of multifinish on the wall and chimney breast then lininpapered the whole room new coving , paint and paper and its now looking like this just need new skirting , door facings then we are good to carpet the rest of the house .

Well i bought 2 different colours to stain the skirting in the livingroom to finish it off and ive narrowed it down to 2 stains

1. Jacobean dark oak

2. Georgian medium oak

I wonder what the wifey will choose .

Dark oak is nice. Hope your walls are dead straight

Decided to go with white painted skirting in our place as the walls are a little wavey - the skirt touches in most places but other places there can be a couple of mm gap behind. White lets you cheat and hide this with decorators caulk, great stuff

Caulk and a steady hand to cut in the wall colour still works well with wood coloured skirting so long as its only a few mm. Also to finish of the gaps you get under the skirting due to the change in floor levels is well served by a small bead of colour matched mastic from the likes of tops tiles
