Now there's a point: Canada Heights MX track is notorious for getting some extreme weather and that's only 5 mins away from Brands Hatch.

Could end up with some interesting pics for the SES calendar if it snows!

Think its alot of media hype, scottlands allready got snow and its ment to be pretty bad for them thursday onwards also but down here the weather people said its ment to be a light dusting on the east cost and the rest of the countrys just gonna be cold, but no doubt we'll get a few flakes and the media will say "its the big freeze, the artic storm, the big chill, artic winter" etc etc lol

Bring it On.!!! I have my trusty Shed ooh I mean cherished Subaru wagon prepped and ready. Curbed alloys going back on this weekend, 2 bags of grit, shovel, tow rope, wellies and warm coat in the boot......

Can't wait.... had loads of fun last year.

Its fun in any subaru, but in a subaru I couldn't give a flying feck about adds to the fun even more ..... Coming through ...beep beep.!!

In Broad Oak it's settled. Now in Burgess Hill upsetting the locals, its dusting quite nicely.

0degC though!

Anyone need glass cutting? My rates are reasonable :P

An extra 1.5 inches have now fallen during the day.

Looking like a veritable winter wonderland.

Southeast is a mare!!

Left Lewisham at 7.17, got home at 1.25, 6 hours to do 35 miles. All sorts of cars, lorrys, bikes, just left at the side of the road, or parked up on banks.

Never seen anything like it.

I'll say one thing though, I love the scoob! Saw people in rear wheel drive cars in all sorts of bother!

He left this morning and I notice his vans back now!

I have just spoken to courier. He said anywhere north of Tunbridge Wells is really bad. Snow much deeper, roads terrible.

The difference in Crowborough is as staggering as usual. My scooby has got 6 inches on it at the top of the hill, down at work there is just 3 inches! It is a mile and a half door to door. Crowborough Hill is sheet ice from top to bottom, I have told my staff not to bother until well after 10.00am, as it's chaos.

The good old ST chugs along quite nicely in the snow, which surprised me, no traumas at all. Get her into 3rd ASAP, don't use brakes, job done

The weather people are now saying it's getting worse than they first thought. Could be another long spell! I might get the scooby down to work tomorrow and change wheels over.

Done that already, i brushed a kerb with my 18s last year on ice, don't want to do that again.

Had the day off work for Brands, but our office in Chelwood Gate has been closed today - so would have got it off anyway!

Seeing some horror stories on the web of people abandoning cars and walking 10 miles to get home etc, Surrey and Kent look like a total no-go zone.

Weather forecasts spot on as usual eh!

If its going to do this regularly, i'm certainly going to consider going for a second set of wheels with some winter / full snows on

Its been fine so far but proper winters will help with the braking side of things

Defo grim in Hastings and more to come, but trusty old scoob done its job perfectly, and got through roads 95% of cars wouldn't even try. Even parked in my firms carpark which was the only car to attempt it..... No worries.

Note the donuts in the snow Couldn't resist

Have to keep reminding myself though, As good as the scoob is It has no breaking/stopping advantage over any other car, and you still have to worry about the other cars stuck/slidding about in front of you...

Those xmas Pigs have just started on my screen ,
Took the big one this morning No problems and ok coming home 45mins both times - big change 48bhp(R2) up to the Impreza. Gatton Park Road was the worst bit. only 2 of us used the outside lane on the A24 - scoob and Range Rover Sport.
