I was in California 10 days ago when they had one.

I was a long way from the epicentre though, just thought I was pissed..... for a change

cool. (well, for us lot that live miles from any fault lines!)

looks like Spain had a fairly big one on the 10th April - didn't see anything in the news about it?

The one we felt in America last week didn't make the news here either. That was near 7 on the scale too.

I suppose it's a house of cards effect really. Once one tektonic plate (excuse the spelling, not sure on this one at all ) gives way, it must have enough ongoing power to push right along the fault lines. Hence so many recently.

You are all mistaken!!

The world is flat and made of caster sugar!

All of this tectonic illusion is made up to keep geo-scientists in their well-paid jobs. The San Andreas fault, according to my friend, was dug out one night using a big digger! And all that hot water coming up through the ocean floor - someone is boiling a big kettle!

Off to buy my 2012 DVD now. If it DOES all go bang, we can stop worrying about the price of petrol, so that's one good thing!
