Default 2002 JDM impreza WRX STI Prodrive Style

Hi everyone,
not really a computer person so sorry if this is wrong. some of you will already know me from the nurburg ring this year and will have heard me talking about the above car. I am about to buy my first Subaru on sunday but it has a little problem the engine knocks, if anyone has any advice as where to get a long engine from then my ears are open as don't know who I can trust. I would like a long engine as do not have the time to mess about swapping heads etc my engine code is EJ207DW4CR thanks for any help in advance. I will put some pics on once I have got the car home.

Yay, you found the keyboard. Before anyone asks, hes more than capable of doing an engine swap, just want to make sure we find a drop in replacement. Assumimg any STI 7.- 9 lump should drop straight in prividung it's not a twin scroll setup.

Being JDM I think it will have tumbler deletes and AVCS so make sure the replacement is an AVCS lump and swap your manifold and wiring over.

Matty doesn't have anything to do with pole position anymore, he has his own business now:

Glad you ended u getting in Toby, you can show your Bro' how to do 'The Ring' next year then.

P.S All STi Newage run AVCS and early JDM Bug were running the VF30. VF35 came later (Blob) and VF34 (roller bearing) on Spec-C.

Seeing as it will take him an age to figure out uploading to Photo bucket and then how to put the links in I thought I'd save him the trouble

Other than an engine the first thing we need to sort is that rear fog light!!!

Fog light removed bro need to put it in one of my reversing lights. Have brought an engine from Matt at MB Developments might also have added a full de cat exhaust at the same time oops. Thanks for all the welcomes and to my bro for putting the photos up.

Looks very nice, is the roof vent standard or has it been fitted by previous owner? And are the brakes brembo's ? Good to see another proper coloured scooby.

Lots of bits removed

Off for Open Heart Surgery

Interesting use of the Spoiler

There's something missing here

Engine was in last night, fired up on the first turn of the key, just final plumbing in and tidying up today ready for the MOT this week.

Been a nightmare journey to get there though, not for open discussion on the forum but I'll fill you in at Brands. Turns out the reason for the original engine failure was a duff fuel pump and still running the JDM map on UK fuel, poor thing didn't stand a chance it was so lean. Toby had to change the fuel pump at SRR to get it to run safe, thankfully Duncan carries them with him so it was a quick change in the car park and then back on the dyno.
