We have had nearly another 3 inches in Crowborough.

Took 2 inches of the car this morning and have got another inch on it now in the last hour!

Yeah it is ice everywhere

I slide into a kerb in Hayward Heath on the ice - have marked one of my rear wheels a bit but at least it was a bump rather than a gash as i wasn't moving forwards - the car just slide sideways on the camber of the road once i'd stop rolling forwards!

Not really worth going outside today folks!

2 1/4 hours Beare Green to Redhill, this morning R2 behaved impeccably- narrow wheels and tyres probably helping.
worst bit was the Buckland bends, had a slight slide braking from 3MPH but not too bad.

Terrible in Hastings today.
Took the car as had to make sure the garage and drive where clear for a furniture delivery.
Had to clear 2 inch off the drive, only cleared the last lot off the night before.

Should of left car at home as 4WD and ABS are useless on ice.
Cars, Vans and lorries all over the show. Several people fromthe office had dings on the way in.

Wanted to take car back home after 5mins driving, but every which way was uphill, so drove in 1st gear all the way to the office.

I'm defo walking in again tomoz.

Best thing was funiture men got stuck down the road, but carried the sideboard up the street.

Carrying it from the garage to the lounge was far enough for me and a collegue from work.

Hats of to them....www.oakfurnitureland.co.uk

I went sideways down the dip in Rocky Lane because knowone was getting up the otherside and just all stopped at the bottom....i came round the corner and couldn't stop and slid into the verge, while the car behind was following me down backwards, luckily he stopped in time, then i just went around them all and up the hill....lol

I went through there about 8:30am, had been warned of the problem by oncoming cars. Waited at the bottom of the dip for some nob in an Octavia to stop sliding around whilst trying to get up the hill then went for it and got up first go (much to his annoyance!)

Rains clearing it up nicely

All the fun of the snow, without too much of the slush

Been out working in the bloody stuff (driving & walking) in Rural area of Burwash Weald/Burwash Common since the stuff landed last week, had enough of it about a week ago and i love snow!....
Its over a ft deep in places out there.
Today is the worst day for grip or the lack of since it snowed, gone to mush, my van (Corsa Combo CDTI) has been brilliant so far but today it really struggled as the thing was sinking into the snow and the front wheels couldn't climb out.
Also walking and driving in it for 5 hours on delivery is not fun...

Oh and we may not have seen the last of it either, ive heard that next tuesday were supposed to get a load more as the temps drop again....

Don't be a tart Andy, Take it out anyway. The Merc did me proud last night & this morning.

Only had trouble in Emma's car park, at her work, and coming home

I took the M3 out today. It was still "interesting" down on my industrial estate, as there is still a good layer of snow.

Whacked the DSC off and had a little play .......

.... but soon realised it was uncontrolable and soon whacked it back on.

Not been on here for a while as I've had no Internet, glad the snow is now clearing up and driving is back to normal! Was a bit unlucky in Birmingham on Wednesday though as I smashed up my vw caddy. Took a slow left hander then straight into a right at 10mph on a roundabout with adverse camber but hit black ice and stuffed it into a concreate bollard!! Not drivable and needed to be picked up, least it wasn't my own car!!!

I'm all good thanks, been real busy with gatwick terminal 2 projects, Birmingham projects and moving into the new house! Really gutted about the crash though, never damaged a vehicle in my 14 years of driving!!!! Wasn't pretty
And your right andy least I'm ok, felt so helpless when it started going side ways, and no matter what I tried it was going where it wanted to.
Any meets coming up guys???
