Default Flat battery and gauges

Just a quicky. I have 3 prosport gauges installed set on amber background. Since having a flat battery at the weekend, one of them has reverted back to a white background. Any ideas as to what may have caused it (power surge of some sort?), and should it only be the wires at the back of the gauge i need to fiddle with?. It'll be a pain as the pod is now siliconed in!!!.
