Sounds like you have a leak somewhere or a sticky boost control solenoid.
Gatwick shouldn't of changed the restrictor without investigating as it's likley due to a fault/leak which the change in restrictor has masked. Are you still running OE boost control ?? The boost control pipes should be plumbed as per my post to CJ which I have copied below : Standard 2-port plumbing : turbo to T-piece (restrctor in pipe) T-piece to Actuator Bottom branch or T-piece to Boost Control Solenoid Then Boost conrol solenoid to inlet manifold (the little black elbow just to left of main induction hose). |

standard boost should be around 1bar.
if it's running 1.5 it will probably be detonating and will defo be runin ff the end of the fuel/ignition map, which is not good. |
