It's best time to do it .
Going to be very careful when putting car back together
Make sure the carpet doesn't get distorted if cleaned out of the car. I haven't got a clue but Edd on wheeler dealers always says to do it in the car to keep the shape.

Another little update.
On Clive's recommendation I went down to SPR coachworks for a look around and chat about my car.
OMG what a place , and great guys.
A few of the cars I was Showed. E30 M3 having some serious work, GT 40, audi quatro turbo, mustang, a few porkas, a 22B
Any how decision now made , it's going to them .
Take a look guys
www.sprcoachworks.co.uk

Have refurbished the TMIC , well pleased with the result .

Started by rubbing down the complete IC and all brackets attached to it,then covered the fins as I didn't want heavy paint on them .

The old cover( bottom) was tatty , so I painted the replacement , fitted new mesh and new sticker.

Steve PPP very kindly loaded his car up with his old wheels for me , top man Steve, big thanks, can now get it finally on a trailer.
Looking more like an impreza 1.6 GL

No worries mate, good to see what you've done to the P1 and have a bit of a chinwag. Like we were saying yesterday, these forums are all about helping folk out

(and the wheels were taking up valuable bbq space in my shed lol)

Cheers Didz , the wheels are mint, just being super anal , I don't want any overspray on them , and it gives me the time to give them some more loving
Once car is away I'm going to take everything off engine so I can get the dremmel out and clean ur up , followed by paint of course

Lol, I will pick it up commando
Honestly can't wait mate.
Going to be so paranoid about marking it when I'm putting it all back together.
Putting engine back in will be a very carefully operation with wings etc well and truly covered up

Hi Nick
There was group buy on P1WOC a while back , and Steve the previous owner treated the engine bay to the whole kit , he also gave me all the left over items .
So it's pretty much there anyway
Cheers for the post though mate .
