Default Air Bag Delete/Mod

For those with Front seats with air bags, who want a more snug style ride. Also works for changing steering wheel I believe.

Get yourself to Maplin, or any other retailer for components. You need -

1.Shrink cover
2.Some 3.3ohm resistors ( get more than you need )
3.OEM style plug

And of course, some solder and a soldering iron.

For those that can remember, if your not sure you have been sold the correct ones, the coloured rings let you know the ohms.

Strip the ends of the wire, both the same colour as polarity isnt a issue here.

Slide some shrink down the wires, and leave it. Carefuly solder the resistor to the wire, make sure you dont take too long and cook the resistor ( thats why its a good idea to buy a few ). Try and keep the solder neat, so you can slide the shrink over the join.

Then just cover the resistor with shrink. And it looks almost OEM.

For fitting, remember to disconect the battery first. Then turn ignition on to test if Airbag light goes off.
