Default SES vs SS footy game?

How bout we organise a Southeast scoobies versus sussexscoobies footy match? Would be great fun and hopefully cut out any left over bad feeling between the minority of people.

I now work at a leisure centre in Hassocks which would be a great place to hold this, possibley on a sunday afternoon as there would be plenty of free parking and not far from a pub for an after match non alcoholic drink?

The pitch doesnt cost alot to hire and if we managed to get eleven a side would work out pretty cheap per person.

Let me know if you are interested and maybe someone could post this on the sussex site to see what they think, i was going to do this against the surrey lot but thought it might be better going against sussex.

Please put your name down if interested

If you are going to comment on this please make it positive as lifes too short to be miserable all the time, lets focus on the good things in life eh!!!

Lets get it oooooooon!!

(can you sort cheeky discounts on gym memberships on the sly???) was a gym member there up until about 3 months ago but gave it up cos the £58 per month was a bit much (joint membership).

I would love to........... but too old, too slow, my knees are crapper than Jimmy Bullards but most importantly........................

I'm too ****ing lazy!

No, I think it's a good idea to have something like that. I reckon that something like you mentioned before might be better, meaning Paintball.

You don't have to be that young and fit to do it (guile and stealth is any match for fitness and bravado! ) and what better feeling than busting a cap in someones ass when you are old and slow like me!

Or I could just get drunk on the sidelines and be sick!

I would come along and watch for sure. It's a good move this thread mate. As long as people do what you have asked and not turn it into some kind of war.

Good call fella!

But then again so is the Nurbergring! But if you really want to do it, then it will happen.

Anyhow, it doesn't have to be anykind of forum v forum. Why not advertise it across the forums (as we should do ) and mix the people up in a hat and draw them out. Lets face it, with commo on you won't know who's who's anyway......... Well unless there my shape that is!

Well im gonna stick with the footy idea for now as it will be very easy for me to arrange and may even get a discount and is very cheap so people may be more up for it.

Maybe if theres a few women wanting to join in we could do basketball as its less contact or maybe a cooking competition

A cooking man too.

I absolutely love it. I had a choice in an all boys secondry school of woodwork / metalwork / mechanics or home economics. A class of 5 boys for my year took home economics, and I loved it.

The only problem i can see with paintball is that you need to give a deposit, now if we get bout 30 from all the local clubs then some poor sod has to collect the deposit from everyone which wont be an easy task OR use his own money in the hope that people will pay him back which is never good as theres always a few bad eggs that back out and leave other out of pocket.....as you can tell ive fallen foul of this before.

That's the beauty of Admin / Mods Dave. If they don't pay, we have a ban button

Alternatively, if this is a cross club event open to Surrey/Sussex/Kent/SES, I can set up ticket sales from the Surreyscoobies Store via Paypal

Just to throw my hat in, I'm up for either and there just happens to be a paintball place with nearby pub just down the road from me. Oh and I work at a school with a Astro turf pitch and a bar!
