coil pack or spark plugs/gaps is a good place to start , but could be a number of possibilities

Could be coil packs as they started giving issues on early WRX/UK many years ago.

1.1bar is too high for a standard ECU.
Standard is 0.75 or 0.8 for WRX depending on model
STi V1 & V2 run 0.9bar

Still running standard IC? Check the gasket on the hard pipe underneath. I was pulling my hair out trying to sort my issue, bloody thing didn't even have a gasket in it....

They average out at about £10 each at the mo for second hand ones, but there not telling how long they will last.

Another option is to use newage packs, you just need the plugs and some very easy modding.

if it is coil packs which i bet you will find one cracked,
you can do the newage conversion, i did this on one of my old wrx's few years ago, made a notable difference in driving and strting
