Default Cleaning engine bay

I have looked under the bonnet and I think my first job is to get her clean under there, it will help id any problems and also what needs doing or replacing etc. Now this is where my life fills with dread....

I have had Derv engines and thought nothing of jet wash and spray to clean over but PETROL ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I m scared

Firstly, what do I need (please no super expensive items - we are in a budget era people - think of the money hahahha), next what is the best way forward, is there a thread on here or something similar

Or who on here can help I just want to make the engine cleaner..

I await the answers from the HOLLY crowd of SES members lol

Thanks

Everyone has a different engine technique mate but basically its time, scrubbing and degreaser lol You can pay someone to do it with a steam cleaner, dosent cost alot but its much more satisfying to have a go your self. As above silversurfers guide is probably the best on here so follow that.

Where abouts in surrey are you mate? Are you close to redhill?
