Default Shoreham lifeboat

Hey all I thought I'd share this quick vid of Shoreham lifeboat launching last sat at the open day ! As I'm ex crew at Shoreham the lads let me go out on the gantry while they launched but sadly I only had the iphone to hand !!

Cool video. Still a little annoyed that they wasted so much money on that building though. Still, they do a fantastic job and will always have my support.

Was a lot of money but entirely funded by the RNLI and public donations and very much needed the old boathouse had no facility's at all

Yeah I know mate, just think they could have gone for something equally functional but less fancy and put the money saved into other units or equipment. Just my opinion and I do think it looks really nice, just unnecessarily expensive.

Excellent video.

I remember going on a lifeboat as part of a school trip a long time ago. I reckon I would still be as excited at the prospect if the chance arose again now!

When I was crew every launch was as much of a buzz as the next I do agree to some degree the boathouse is a little ott but I guess the rnli wants to give its volunteers the best they can afford to supply
