Cheers Scoob!

Re the dumpvalve... i don't have one its all blocked off. Makes for better throttle response on gear changes, and sounds awesome! it flutters forever when coming off boost and you get a satisfying noise when changing gear underload which you heard...

Pretty simple! I wouldn't advise it however unless you have a turbo which can handle the abuse! You need a pretty sturdy turbo. I'm running an MD321T so i'm pretty safe to run it like this...

CJ Has got his blanked off too, it sounds pretty much the same.

I thought about it, but Simon (Jolly Green Giant) had concerns with the idea, nothing serious but that was enough for me.

Oh what, too late for the video

I love that fluttering noise on those cars with the DV blanked off, but I know one or two folks aren't too sure about the consequences of doing it, hence I haven't done it to mine.

I want to hear your car going now!

You'd need an induciton kit like the RCM one to get the flutter effect... If i rolled off the trottle progressively when i had my SSQV and RCM induction i got a lovely flutter... see here @ 10secs:

I had an FMIC too. The denser air may have made it a bit louder.

The DV doesn't really come into it. I think even a recirculating one would give a satisying noise so i've been told, but never actually been out in an impreza with a recirc believe it ir not... either blocked off or VTA all the time!

I had an FMIC too.
