Default Chirping noise from rear on a gold V6 4 motion?.

Not a scoob, but a few mechanics in here that might be able to help so thought I would post up.

In addition to the scoob I recently got myself a golf V6 4 motion - Supercharged . But got a few issues with it, and starting to wish I didn't get it now. But Heyho.

One problem thats bothering me, is the car particurily from cold makes a quiet chirping noise from the rear. After a few good miles it tends to go away. Its sounds like a pump or something trying to engage...

I can't believe this is normal ?. Easy fix, or something i should be concerned about ?.

Got a couple of other noises I dont like, and hoping one is just a squeeky aux/supercharger belt. And the supercharger itself seems to make more of a bearing noise than I would be expecting.... just need to research if this is normal...

has the back diff unit been serviced, you need a specific tool to do the Audi's so presume the VW will be the same and without it you cant drain/fill the diff oil

I have lots of big bills for performance add ons. But must admit its sadly lacking in general service bills. So suspect the rear diff is well due for a service assuming its meant to be a servicable item ?. Its covered 80K miles now.

I don't know allot about these things myself and reading up on various forums which are pretty useless TBH unlike the scoob forums. But think it does use the same Haldex type system as used on the audi's etc.

If its meant to be a servicable item its a good call, and probably a good place to start...

When you open the door, you can hear something primeing and engaging, and its this noise that seems to be the chirping noise. I've noticed it doesn't always do it either.

Cheers

Might sound daft Rob. Noise is louder when cold you say! How about fuel pump? If it's supercharged it must of had a performance fuel pump of some description. Just an idea.

Does sound like it could be fuel pump.
As Nige say's it may have a performance or knock off chinese performance pump which might be a little noisey.
It would normally prime when you turn the ignition fully on.

Our Seat does that. No idea why but only when the drivers door is opened. The noise it either in the door or the footwell, not sure.

Its definately a pump trying to engage, rather than a mechanical revolution noise.

I need to look into whether there is a pump for the rear haldex diff set up, and ideally get it on a ramp somewhere and pin point where the noise is coming from. But if no pump for the rear diff set up then can only be the pump I guess.
