Hi there!

I have just purchased my first Impreza WRX and am enjoying every second I'm driving it!

The car is standard with no modifications at the moment but am looking to spend some money on it. Any advise?

I am in The Gatwick area.

Stacey

Welcome

With a few photos we could suggest the best things to do, but it depends on your taste and what you use the car for

Not sure who's round that way despite working on Manor Royal. SMD are in Newhaven and Surrey Subaru Specialists are in Camberley so you're between the two, other possibility is Stu at Sussex Mobile Services, he's based in Polegate but may travel over to Crawley. Some of the other guys on here may know someone else in the area.

Shane.

There's Gatwick Subaru, but I'm sure the guy who had a good reputation left, meaning there is a bit of a question mark over whether it is a good place to use now.

In my opinion, it's worth a drive to get the job done properly. I'm in Banstead but drive over to Camberley to get work done by Dan at Surrey Subaru Specialists. He's always seen me right on both our Subarus.

I think tbtstt used to use Gatwick and now goes to Dan.

Not sure that's massively helpful, sorry...!

Its all helpful thank you. Phoned Gatwick Subaru today and was quoted £630 for a cambelt replacement, tensions and oil change. Is that normal?

I don't mind travelling a little if worth it!

Thank you

Hello and welcome, as above, Dan at SSS, or Stu at TFS.

Correct! I used Gatwick Subaru for a number of years and was very pleased with the service, but the service I had after Dave left was nowhere near as good, so I moved on to Dan (Surrey Subaru Specialists) where I've been very happy.

As an aside I would also advise you to avoid Kinghams (the main Subaru dealership in Croydon). It's not that far from you, but the prices some people have been quoted for work there have been far greater than other dealerships.
