chris wrx 11-08-2011 09:31 PM

Yep me too seeing as the sea is at the end of my garden , bagged plenty of mackerel and a couple of nice bass so far

Moley_WRX 11-08-2011 09:42 PM

I haven't been for years now, fancied giving it another try.

Is Seaford/Newhaven still good for it?

thepieman 11-08-2011 10:42 PM

Father in law lives in bBishopstone and fishes seafood / newhaven regularly. Can always ask him as local knowledge for him. He fishes for a club in seafood and with the Bricklayers around Eastbourne .

Good fishing Normans bay - cooden though:nod: alices pipe is a good spot:ok: if you fancy Eastbourne way....

worzel 11-08-2011 10:44 PM

I used to fish the Newhaven breakwater a lot, it's a great spot. I've had a 15lb conger, more mackerel than you could imagine, a few lobster, stacks of flatties and a fair few decent bass. One bass that went 12 1/2lb.

The biggest thing I hooked there though......

..... was a 12 stone diver

Crowman 12-08-2011 12:42 AM

I used to go to dunginess all th etime, used to stop at pevensey to dig lug.
Not been for years now.
I am well up for going again .

Cant beleive Tony's Tackle is still going

Good idea Munk.
Normans bay, as Ron said is worth a go.
Or some mackerel bashing of newhaven wall, only you have to climb over the gate nowadays .

Crowman 12-08-2011 08:45 AM

Steve I am guessing your telling a few fins about your haul :-)
