Im back

Well after blowing up my gearbox in the Scoob i kind of stopped sulking and got off my arse and brought a run around so i can start saving for my gearbox and all the other stuff i want to do with my scoob.. So i brought a golf mk4 diesel for a bargin £1500, it just had a oil leak, all panels are dead straight... Well impressed, it has climate control ac and all the usual stuff.. Plus coilovers which i only found out the other day!!!.... Ow and best of all i get 550-600 miles to a full tank.. :-)

I followed you up Beddington lane this morning... Did think it was a nice clean golf and sits well

Tyler 13-10-2011 01:20 PM

That looks lovely mate. And with those economy figures, you have to be a happy bunny :ok:

Tyler 13-10-2011 02:03 PM

Cheers Worzel. The more i save the more i get to spend on the scoob.. :-)

Good to see you're back, and with a plan!

I've been toying with the idea of a more economical day-to-day drive and, if I go that way, I'm definately thinking diesel Golf.

Good to see your sticking with us fella, those golfs are wicked cars :-)

That looks a really tidy runabout!

Good job and enjoy the infrequent visits to the petrol stations (I manage a month of commuting from a full tank in my diesel!)

Tyler 13-10-2011 06:01 PM

Cheers Steve, i was hitting the fuel gauge on the way back from Cardiff as it hardly moved, i was worrying that the gauge was stuck!! lol....

I have actually forgotten what a petrol station looks like.
