they are metric i believe. give them a call at import car parts. I got a set of manifold studs from them a while back so they should be able to tell you what size they are

Alyn is the decimal point in the wrong place.
1.25mm is very short. ????

just take it real easy and slow. wind it in an 8th of a turn at a time and then back out, then an 8th more and back out again. if you feel any more resistance than usualy, wind it right out n spray with WD40 to clean out any crap. once you have done 2 complete revolutions, wind it completely out anyways and s[ray with WD40 to dislodge any crap.
patience is the key |
