Default Newage atomshereic dump valve.
Hi there, I have a problem, I have bought a forge dump valve from ebay, which was described as a newage, and when I got it, it was for the version 5 classic. So I now need to send it back.
Trouble I have is that i am going for a remap on tuesday , and wanted to fit my new intercooler on which is a newage to fit a classic, So the nightmare starts.
So hopefully someone has one lying around so I can fit this intercooler and wait til I get another one.

Any help would be great.

What version intercooler are you fitting, does it have dump valve bolted to the intercooler?
And what age scoob is it being fitted to?

The intercooler, is a massive one from newage, think its a hyperflow one. So atom dump valve as not much room at all.
The car its fitting on is MY00, Tony already has had a bash and got the bulk head out the way

If you had a TD05 I would say blank it of, but as you have a VF don't as it may shatter the impeller.

My guess it that it fouls the coil pack, if so can you not temporaily re-locate the coil pack.

Just going to go for the remap, with my intercooler, and then go back for a tweek, when I have other bits, ie, FPR, electronic boost controller, and once I sort this intercooler out.

Why fit an Electronic boost controller ?
I assume Pat is ECUTEK mapping the car. The Boost control in the ECU is far better then any boost controller.

OE boost control takes into account Throttle Position, Rpm, Boost Target
Most Electronic have just boost target
the only one that gets close is the Apexi AVCR which has Rpm and Boost Target

2-port will be fine one the VF as long as the restrictor is matched, or get a 2nd hand 3-port off an 1993-1996 model and get your mapper to map with that.
