Default Headers

Bit of an odd one this...

Tried fitting my GT Spec headers (2nd hand but from Lateral) today and they wouldn't fit as the fouled the Sump at the front passenger side (below the dipstick). Do I need a 2.5 sump or twin scroll or something?

You currently on standard sump?

I think (engine being a bit of a hybrid) that I'm on a std 2.0 sump no doubt that the headers foul the sump though as we couldn't get the passenger side to bolt down flat with the sump contact. Only solution was to refit the ported headers (these were blowing at the heads on the near side plus one of the link pipe gaskets) so we'll see what they make on Thursday!

Should really be no issue then.

May need to massage the sump with a blunt implement heavy at one end but if you cant find a welly boot use a hammer

We see what the ported standards can muster then
