Default 300bhp

For a early classic WRX on average what mods have seen of should see 290 300ish bhp at the flywheel.

does anyone have a V1/V2 that has this sort of power proven...what has been done??

basic stuff needed to achive 300bhp on a wrx is-
Full system without cats,
Sti i/c v2
pump 255ltr,
Panel filter. dont get sucked into needing a Ind kit thoses maffs dont last.
remove the air resonator box,
you are at the max point on injectors so id be looking for 440s or at least use a fuel reg at 3.5bar
v2 z4 ecu may see you there or get a mapp job done

I have an Eclipse Performance chip in my ECU which raises the boost from 0.9 to 1.1 bar, which gave me a bit more power (And means I can use 97ron)

full exhaust as above, but go 3" and leave the headers as after market ones are supposed to make spool a little worse from what I have heard. I went sports-cat rather than decat. get 100cell, not 200 cell if you go for a sports cat as 100cel is less restrictive.

With a Polar ECU I would expect it to already be close to 600BHP

I've seen anything from 270 - 310.
It all depends on condition of car and primarily the plugs/coil packs, MAF and the fuel delivery.

I managed 290 on SRR rollers on my old black WRX bone stock with ESL board and a Silversurfer map.

The engine seems to be good...no rattles knocks..no smoke..runs fine hot or cold...replaced fuel filter as that was clearly old...

im fitting a pro sport 52mm boost gauge 2mo... as iv had no way of telling boost.

my target for the car was to hit 300ish with a close torque figure....we shall see...

PFR7B you normally swap from grade 6 to 7 when going over 1.1bar. but as your hitting 1.1 id do it to be safe. gives you chance to check your coils to, they are a right pig them coils i ended up doing a newage conversion on mine in the end, ask scott how much he likes them v1-2 coil packs lol
don't get caught up in the figures pal, just go there enjoy and find out hows shes running with fueling, my old 94 wrx with same mods made 285bhp at 1bar
