Default Thinking of selling to buy ..........

Hi guys I'm thinking of selling my bug, and looking for a nice sti classic, just wondered what people thought mine would roughly be worth, 2001 wrx, completely standard (apart from green panel filter and decat centre pipe and backbox) 98k miles with part history (just changed plugs and oil+filter last weekend! have receipts) it's in good condition (I think anyway) had new clutch and radiator about 2 months ago all done by myself as some may have seen on here (clutch was a nightmare) and four new tyres courtesy of sti Mayhew on Saturday, just fancy trying out a classic. Like I say I'm just thinking about it at the moment but I'm unsure of the value as they seem to range on ebay. Thanks all

Your WRX is probably worth 2 to 3k, might be hard to find a tidy STI classic for that money but they are definitely out there. Look for a version 3/4 (if you can find one)

You can if your lucky find an STI wagon!

also sometimes better off with a car that you know, than opting for the cheapest 'upgrade' version that you want.........

Yeah true, I've put quite a bit of work into this one, new clutch rad front brakes ect, i was thinking of selling mine and hoping I could get away with putting an extra 1.5k max towards a classic but looking around they are going for good money at the moment so I think I'll leave it for the min. Cheers guys

I'd stick with the bug, plenty you can do to it, and as its just slightly bigger than a classic, still makes a good family car.

With less sound deadening( sp? ) you get a lot of exhaust drone from classics on long journeys, not good for little nippers in the back.

Cheers mate, I would've been happy with about £2600-2750 but like Ron says I know the car I've got at the moment and buying another could lead to problems
So that's that idea out the window lol.
Thanks guys
